11/19: Wikipage Testimonials about Technology
Please post about any technology you have used so far in your project that you found to be a creative success. Be specific, hence allowing others to read your testimonial and implement the technology into their project. If you have a technology you are planning to use, but have not used yet, please share your ideas in order to generate brainstorming within the class.

I havnt found anything yet. but i want i heard about using photo bucket an i wanna kno how to use it. I wanna find something that will make the page look better.
ReplyDeletei have used glogster and photobucket in my project. "@ brian" you have to have a photobucket account first in order to do anything. from there you can upload photos and videos. you can also make slideshows. with those you can edit it to make it look however you want it to look. they have a lot of options. you just have to play around with it.
ReplyDeletei have never used glogster in my life, let alone work on my own website so this project really brings me more into current times and things i didnt think i could do through the internet. and seeing myself how to make and add several pages and how to link it all.. its so new to me and suprisingly easy to do.
ReplyDeleteI have used glogster with embedded background, animations and pictures, and links for my wikispace.....I am also going to add some profile tweaks when I get time to, so its going to look HOT, bet on that :D
ReplyDeleteMe and my partner used the glogster in our project, but i wanna start usuing the slidshows in our wikkis, so that we can have more pictures about the blitz and it wont take up that much.
ReplyDeletethe glogster page we used was easy and seemed to make everything look alot better. the wikis are a little harder to create but the glogster makes it easier to navigate. to learn how to create a theme for our wiki would be a great to have so that everything ties together.
ReplyDeleteWikispaces is a complicated website I feel. I find it hard to move pictures where I want and to write things where I want. However I have found out how to upload pictures. I also want to find out how to change the background.
ReplyDeleteI haven't used any technology just yet but I really like the way the glogster looks when it is embeded into the wiki. It is visually appealing and it makes people want to read all about your topic. So as of now my wiki is kind of boring with just standard photos and information but I am looking to embed a glogster on my page so that my wiki can be more appealing to the eye.
ReplyDeleteI've embeded pictures into our wiki and found it a real pain to organize them. I would like to see if there is an easier way to organize the content. I would also like it if we used glogster
ReplyDeleteI feel that gloger was a good website to use because it made the page interesting aswell as it made the page appear to be a lot nicer then using a regular colored background. It also will organize the page because links can be added. We will also be turning our pictures into links so that they can be clicked inorder to go to a new page of information based on our topic. Scroll boxes might be a good idea to use as well but we have yet to and may not end up doing that.

ReplyDeleteSo far our group has added many new technologies to our wikispace. We have learned how to embed pictures and copy down informantion. Sometimes I find it hard to organize my info and i am still in the process of making my page look better. I look forward to figuring out how to use technilogy such as video, and learning how to make my project look cooler.

It makes people want to learn more about your topic. So right now my wiki is pretty ordinary with just standard pictures and bulleted information but I am looking to embed a glogster to make my wiki more appealing to the eye.
ReplyDeleteI changed the background of my wikispace and made it look cool. You can do that by going to the top of the page where it says "Manage Wiki". Then scroll down until you see "Look and Feel" under Settings. You can then change the theme and colors of your wikispace.
ReplyDeleteSome of the new technology that i have used while i was using my wiki was a glogster. A glogster is an interactive poster board. To put a glogster up you create a glogster acount make a poster and paly around with the poster board and save an publish it then take the enbed code and go to wiki and got to edit. After that you go to enbed widget and put the code in the box then it will apear on your page.
ReplyDeletewell so far we havent used new technology in our project because i dont know how to upload or post a glogster on it. i never used glogster because in class,we were in groups and my jobs was only to find pictures. So i dont even know how to work it, but i want to learn how to improve my project and make it look nice.
ReplyDeleteI have never had the need to do any of this and have never even herd of wikispaces or blogger. I am really happy that I had gotten the oppertunity to work with this new technolongy aswell as learn from it. As of right now I would like to incorperate and imbed videos aswell as cool animations.
ReplyDeleteI have never used Glogster and I am just beginning to work on a wikki page so the whole experience is new to me. It seems like an interesting way to display information. I am anxious to learn about glogster and how to use it. I would also like to learn how to use slider to enhance my projects.

ReplyDeleteI have so far used flickr and found out how to put in videos. BOth are a great feature. Flickf creates a slide show of all the pics that were gotten. The videos help explain the topic
ReplyDeleteFor this project my group has been successful at putting videos and picture slide shows on our page. In the future we plan to use glogster to better out page.
ReplyDeleteglogster is new to me and so is wikispaces and it's all pretty hard. Putting glogster into your wiki makes it look great and have alot more life to the website.

ReplyDeleteI feel like wiki is a difficult site to understand. One of my group members figured out how to post a slideshow of pictures.

ReplyDeleteMy Partner and i have created a page soley dedicated to the re-enactment of the invasion of Normandy (D-day). by useing the embeding of a youtube video, we were able to input a video clip from 1998's Saving Private Ryan. This idea was considered almost genious becuase not only do we have good information by text, but we have a representation from a Historical fiction based film, based on World War 2. The video concept gives the viewers of our site a good understanding and yet even better intake of what happened during the time period of World War 2.
ReplyDeleteMy group put up information and put up some pictures. We plan to use glogster to make our project better. Using the poster board online and actually being able to move everything around makes it easier to create a good wikispace. since everyone is doing this on the computer information and pictures are easy to get.

ReplyDeleteWeve used google to research information for our subject. Our subject is modern warefar. Weve gotten pictures which shows how the weapons were.
ReplyDeleteTo get my wikispace project to its fullest potential, my partner and I have used many forms of technology to progress. From youtube to FlASHdrives, we used everything we could get our hands or mouses on. We recently put a youtube video of a renactment of one of our most historical battles.
